YodaCoin Goes from Hype to Scam

Popular meme coin $YODA was rugged today, dropping 100% in price. The social accounts and groups of @yodacoineth_ have already been deleted.

The scammer has transferred about 68 $ETH ($132K) to FixedFloat, according to PeckShield. One of the first to notice the pull was crypto investor @borovik.eth who tweeted a screenshot of Yoda Coin's official account.

YodaCoin deactivated nine gold checkmark-bearing bot accounts, according to the on-chain investigator, ZachXBT. These accounts featured mutant apes and were "legacy verified.” They impersonated influencers in their discord accounts.

Recent data shows that meme coins are resilient, despite the differing opinions in the crypto community.

Popular meme coins such as Dogecoin ($DOGE) and Shiba Inu ($SHIB) have been quite profitable over the years. Recently, meme coin PEPE ($PEPE) gained over 119% in 24 hours, attracting the attention of crypto enthusiasts. At the time of writing, $PEPE continues its surge, according to CoinMarketCap.

The popularity of $YODA has also skyrocketed in recent days, with many investors trying to take advantage of the trend. In spite of the potential for high returns, there are also significant risks involved, as proven by the recent rug.
