These people demanded that the young victim of the incident give them the cryptocurrency profit of HK$180,000 (approximately $23,000). When the young victim did not give the money, he was not allowed to leave the room and was beaten with baseball bats by nine young people in the room.

The young victim reported the incident to his friend. His friend also called the police and the police rescued the 19-year-old victim.

While six people from the group who learned that the police had arrived at the scene managed to escape, the police could only catch three people.

The police continue to search for the six people who escaped while they detained three young people on allegations of injury, deprivation of personal liberty and blackmail.
