Cardano Founder Says Alien and AI May Play a Role in Coming US Elections

0 57

Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano and a prominent figure in the crypto space is currently making headlines by suggesting that aliens and Artificial Intelligence (AI) could potentially play a role in upcoming United States elections.

Cardano Founder Criticizes State of US Elections

Hoskinson’s remarks come as a response to a tweet by Aishah Hasnie, a Congressional correspondent at Fox News. Hasnie had expressed her enthusiasm for the 2024 elections, setting the stage for a thought-provoking exchange.

In his response to Hasnie’s tweet, Hoskinson took the opportunity to share his unique perspective on the current state of election seasons. Hoskinson’s opening remark draws attention to a common criticism of modern elections, where he characterizes candidates as “pre-selected puppets.”

It’s election season, where a bunch of pre-selected puppets hold mock debates about wedge issues through a tightly controlled narrative, and anyone outside the club has their life destroyed trying to run.

This cycle has some innovations. We’ve arrested the leading opposition… https://t.co/Zc6FOeiW4v

— Charles Hoskinson (@IOHK_Charles) September 6, 2023

This phrase underscores the perception that some candidates are chosen by powerful political entities, leaving little room for genuine grassroots representation. It implies that the issues being debated are often carefully curated to fit within a controlled narrative, and the candidates themselves may have limited autonomy.

He went on to say that the election season has some innovations with a leading opposition candidate, who has been repeatedly arrested, and the other party’s choice to endorse an 80-year-old candidate with signs of dementia.

Hoskinson’s mention of aliens and AI adds a speculative and, perhaps, humorous element to his statement. He suggests that, in the event of a close race, even unconventional or unexpected factors like aliens or AI could come into play.

Overall, Hoskinson’s speech depicts a political landscape marked by manipulation, divisiveness, and unusual hypothetical possibilities. It displays his critical perspective on the political process and the difficulties that individuals who seek to question the status quo face.

Concerns Around ‘Deep Fakes’

In an earlier report by CoinGape, Balaji Srinivasan, a well-known investor and former Chief Technology Officer of Coinbase, has weighed in on the forthcoming US elections, highlighting the potential threat posed by ‘deep fakes.’

‘Deep fakes’ are highly convincing, AI-generated media, including videos, audio recordings, or images that can make it appear as though someone is saying or doing things they never did. In the context of elections, ‘deep fakes’ could be used to spread false information, manipulate public opinion, or discredit candidates.

These concerns are even making the American Presidential race a more interesting trend to watch out for.
