Tether, Nodo Partner to Drive Stablecoin and Bitcoin Education in Africa

Stablecoin issuer Tether has partnered with Nodo to educate prospective African users about the use cases of stablecoins and facilitate transactions with the former’s digital asset. The six-month campaign will include Ask Me Anything (AMA) sessions, workshops, and question-and-answer sessions with crypto experts on social media.

African Users to Learn of Stablecoin Use Cases

The stablecoin issuer Tether and the Web3 growth partner firm Nodo have announced a collaboration to promote stablecoin and bitcoin (BTC) education in Africa. Tether will leverage this collaboration to educate prospective African users about the use cases of stablecoins and facilitate transactions with USDT.

In a statement released on June 6, the stablecoin issuer and Nodo expressed their focus on providing educational content, materials, and quizzes to Africa’s technology-savvy youth. The six-month campaign will include Ask Me Anything (AMA) sessions, workshops, and question-and-answer sessions with crypto experts on social media.

Shogo Ishida, Co-founder of Nodo, emphasized their ultimate objective: matching Africa’s financial exclusion gap with that of more developed countries.

“We posit that fostering market expansion and advancing financial literacy across Africa, coupled with the presence of Tether in Africa, the leading digital asset company globally, will wield substantial influence in addressing the region’s financial obstacles and fostering greater financial inclusion through education,” Ishida said.

Paolo Ardoino, CEO of Tether, stated that the primary goal of this initiative is to redefine traditional finance and ensure financial freedom for Africa’s underserved and unbanked population. According to the statement, Nodo’s estimated 200,000 blockchain users in Africa play a crucial role in achieving this collaboration’s objectives.
